During Installation

The most economical application of Clearshield is “factory applied” prior to the glass being installed on site. This applies specifically so to decorative glass, which is so easy to mark and contaminate with handling. Once treated in the factory, the glass is protected against usual installation contamination, including silicone. Shower doors to large windows can all be treated before installation on site. After Installation

There have been instances where Clearshield has been applied during construction. There can be a number of reasons for this, one being that the builder has realized that there is an unsustainable rate of damage to the glass from alkalines and paint.  Click to view images of the After application

Clearshield can be easily applied after construction, thanks to the unique renovation process. Applications have been done on glass many years after initial installation. There would now be a range of contaminants on the glass, which have likely rendered the glass almost impossible to clean. Our Renovation system will usually restore the glass surface to its former glory, prior to the application of the Clearshield itself.
