Clearshield specialises in the production, marketing and distribution of transparent, ‘non-stick’, thin-film, durable surface protection technologies. Starting in 1981, Ritec pioneered durable glass surface protection with ClearShield as part of a complete system for glass renovation, protection and maintenance. 

ClearShield - General Description

• a proprietary mixture of polymeric resin, catalyst and inhibitors in a carrier system
• chemically cross-links with glass to form multi-molecular, durable surface protection
• chemically inert or neutral to most substances
• does not migrate to other surfaces

Functions

• makes exterior or interior glass “non-stick” - with easy-clean, low  maintenance performance and resistance to staining and discolouration

• makes glass water-repellent (hydrophobic)
• will not migrate to other surfaces
• makes the surface chemically inert to most substances and smoother with lower coefficient of friction
